JULY 2024 — Charlotte-based co-hosts of MPowered Podcast Brittany Mills and Mandy Rogers are partnering with New Jersey self-help dating author Brianna McCabe to host a women empowerment event on Saturday, August 3 at Gather Flower Studio.

“Gather and MPower” will feature an evening of bouquet-making and red flag-discussing as attendees learn from McCabe’s decade of dating mistakes mentioned in her book, The Red Flags I’ve (Repeatedly) Ignored, and engage in a live workshop with the hosts of MPowered.

“MPowered is more than just a podcast – it’s a movement dedicated to celebrating the stories of women who are making waves and creating meaningful change,” shares Mills, a cast member on season six of Netflix's Love is Blind. “After reading her book, both Mandy and I felt inspired to launch a collaborative event that aims to help women understand their worth, establish healthy boundaries, understand when a relationship may or may not be serving them any longer, and learn when to finally walk away.”

Mills and Rogers initially connected with McCabe on an episode of their podcast to discuss her book and how the author puts herself on the line in the hopes of cracking the code on sex, love, and relationships, but instead learns what it means to actually love herself. The trio also examined how to identify and acknowledge the warning signs of a potentially incompatible or unhealthy relationship, the role of accountability in personal growth, the correlation between self-love and healthy relationships, and the importance of understanding one’s own personal values.

“Our conversation was so profoundly beautiful that I just knew we were meant to connect to create even more meaningful, impactful moments,” reflects McCabe. “Our energies and overall missions align so synergistically – and it’s in our hopes that we can continue to help women tap into their greatest selves.”

The event will take place at Gather Flower Studio, located at 320 South Tryon Street, Suite 210 in Charlotte, NC at 6 pm. Visit this website to purchase your ticket in advance, which includes a take-home bouquet, hardcover copy of The Red Flags I’ve (Repeatedly) Ignored, live workshop with MPowered and McCabe, light bites, and refreshments.

“Together, we hope to provide a self-love roadmap to attendees and encourage individuals to reflect on their experiences from a mature, compassionate, and even light-hearted perspective,” comments Rogers. “We all are worthy of love, but we must first secure that within ourselves – and our event aims to be a catalyst for those who may be struggling.”
