APRIL 2023 — Author, marketing professional, and professor Brianna McCabe is collaborating with entrepreneur, motivational speaker, sports analyst, author, and philanthropist Eric LeGrand and LeGrand Coffee House to promote her new semi-autobiographical self-help book, The Red Flags I’ve (Repeatedly) Ignored. The two former Colonia High School (CHS) Patriots are excited to bring the community together while also supporting one another’s businesses.

McCabe, CHS ‘11, was a member of the cheerleading squad who supported LeGrand, CHS ‘08, and his teammates during football season. In his senior year, LeGrand was ranked as the #21 top middle linebacker prospect in the country. Since those days playing and cheering on the field, the talented CHS alumni have come a long way. Both LeGrand and McCabe are now working to inspire others, using their passions and entrepreneurial spirit to share their experiences with others.

“I’m happy to welcome Brianna to LeGrand Coffee House to help promote her new book,” shares LeGrand. “When opening up LeGrand Coffee House, this is exactly the type of events that I had envisioned and I’m glad to see them coming to reality.”

The book signing for The Red Flags I’ve (Repeatedly) Ignored will take place on Sunday, April 23 from 11 am - 2 pm at LeGrand Coffee House, which first opened its doors in 2022. Located in Woodbridge Township, NJ, LeGrand’s Coffee House brews their signature coffee roasts in addition to specialty drinks, espresso, decaffeinated coffee, and various teas.

“I’m truly honored to connect with Eric for this event as he’s been such an inspirational figure in my life and for so many others around the world,” says McCabe. “Plus, there’s been many days where his coffee got me through the book editing process, so this is almost a full-circle moment.”

In The Red Flags I’ve (Repeatedly) Ignored, McCabe puts herself on the line in the hopes of cracking the code on sex, love, and relationships, but instead learns what it means to actually love herself. She navigates the dating scene—eliminating potential boyfriends one red flag at a time—and shares all of her funny, raw, and real details with readers along the way. Throughout the book, McCabe also offers a self-love roadmap to readers.

“Writing this book was therapeutic for me as it allowed me to reflect on my life from a mature, compassionate, and even light-hearted perspective,” McCabe explains. “I hope to motivate others to take a look at their own lives, especially as it pertains to all that is their dating decisions and overall experiences. In the end, I want everyone to know that we’re all beautiful beings worthy of love and respect, but we must first set those boundaries and philosophies within ourselves.”

LeGrand himself will be present for a portion of the event where McCabe will sign copies of The Red Flags I’ve (Repeatedly) Ignored and talk to readers about what you can potentially expect from her book.

McCabe adds, “I look forward to bringing not just ourselves together but the community at-large and seeing where this next chapter takes us.”
